The Core Intelligence Research Training provides students with the essential research skills and knowledge to be effective within an intelligence, performance or investigation environment. The training has also been designed to meet the Intelligence Professionalisation Programme (IPP) standards for Intelligence Researchers and is CPD accredited with the CPD Standards Office in the UK.
The training explores the theory of research methodology, how to apply them in the workplace and the links to the analysis stage.
To enable students to gain confidence in their newly acquired skills and knowledge, a practical scenario is embedded throughout the training. The students benefit from the use of various methods of teaching such as course handouts, presentations, practical exercises and break-out sessions.
